What’s a bullet vibrator?
A bullet vibrator is a simple, compact vibrating device used for clitoral and vulva stimulation and/or shallow penetration, if that’s your thing.
Why are bullets popular?
Because they’re compact, bullets are typically pretty discreet; easy to store or conceal. Speaking of ease, bullets are also easy to travel with, easy to purchase (they’re relatively inexpensive), and easy to operate due to minimal or simple settings. Our best-selling bullet vibrators forego more complex features for notable POWER and longer run times.
What are your top-selling bullets?
I’ve got data! In order, our top-selling bullet vibrators are the We-Vibe Tango X, the Blush Limited Addiction Bullet Vibrator, and the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet. And I’m going to review them all. ⤵️

#1: We-Vibe Tango X
We-Vibe (operated by the same parent company as Womanizer) has been making award-winning pleasure products since 2008, and they produce some pretty high-end toys. The Tango X bullet vibrator comes at a slightly higher price point of $79.00 before discounts. It’s got a soft, supple silicone handle end with buttons and silver charging “nubs,” and then a glossy smooth ABS end for stimulating yourself. It comes with a little bag for stowage! It comes in this midnight blue (pictured) as well as a cherry red!
Because I’m impatient, I first powered this on (holding down the + button) without reading the manual. Hastily cycling through what I thought were the patterns made me pause. After actually glancing at the manual, I found that this little bullet has 7 patterns that you access by pressing the squiggly We-Vibe icon between the +/- buttons. Furthermore, you can subtly increase or decrease the intensities of these patterns by tapping the + button (increase) or – button (decrease) or do it seamlessly/gradually by holding down the + or – button.
Each pattern’s 8 speeds are subtly different, so I cycled through the modes and counted them all just to be sure, haha! When switching patterns, if you’re on a certain speed in one pattern and then switch patterns, it maintains the previous intensity in the new pattern. I like that! At first, I had to look at the interface to adjust the patterns because the squiggly We-Vibe button can be hard to find during use – it’s kinda small. Once I did that a couple times, I was breezing through the patterns without looking.
I love the higher intensities of patterns #2/Pulse, #4/Wave, and #6/Heartbeat the most! It’s also got a travel lock – just hold down the +/- buttons at the same time for 2 seconds and do the same to unlock. Charge it to deactivate the travel lock.
It’s a little more nuanced than the FemmeFunn or Blush bullet. BUT once you understand the mechanics, you can really pinpoint the perfect vibe and intensity; customize it. This bullet might be for someone who’s underwhelmed by the low setting on other vibes but overwhelmed by the higher intensities; this is for someone who wants choices. It’s also perfect for those who value discretion; it’s dainty, unassuming, and super quiet – the quietest of these three bullets, in my assessment.
Since it has a sleeker tip than a silicone coated bullet, there isn’t as much “rubby” feeling and more of a “gliding” feeling – really nice for dancing around the clit and fun for teasing other areas. It’s quieter than the other two options discussed here (basically imperceptible) and delivers some surprising rumbles despite its small size. The silicone handle buffers your hand nicely from becoming numb or tingly from the vibes.
Its smaller, tapered tip seems better suited to focused stimulation rather than broader stimulation; although don’t get me wrong: it’s powerful enough that you feel the vibrations beyond the targeted area when used at higher intensities. The tip does have that lipstick shape with edges to create further stimulation. This little bullet can be an addition to penetrative intercourse without getting in the way, or as a compact complement to a wand that delivers broader stimulation (see Magic Wands or the Viben Obsession or Sultry wands) – always good to have options in your toolkit, ya know?
#2: Blush Limited Addiction Rechargeable Bullet
When I first saw this bullet, I bought it. Well, I bought it after studying all of the wildly wonderful psychedelic marbled color combos. I don’t see many marbled silicone bullets or vibes on the market, but one of my other favorites is the Glow Rose. The Blush bullet vibrator hits a super reasonable price point of $32.99. You’re not paying for a bunch of dense packaging or literature, just the little jewel of a toy and its oatmeal-colored USB charging cable. Major bang for your buck here!
I chose the Sublime/Alexandrite colorway, but I still lust after every other color option. Since this has an ABS coating, don’t leave it in the sun since it may cause that vibrant material to fade or deteriorate.
What also drew me to the Blush Bullet is the somewhat defined edge (see the “lipstick” shape of the toy?). I could envision what that edge would do for me… I like medium to firm pressure when it comes to clitoral stimulation, and I love grinding against an edge or texture. The tip of this bullet is easy to manipulate with precision – put it right where you want it!
The flatter end of this lipstick shape has more surface area than the Tango X, so it can cover a slightly broader area if you are pressing that tip straight onto yourself. This bullet doesn’t flex like the FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet, so if you like a rigid shape but a silkier surface on your toy, the Blush bullet might be for you.
The buttons on this are a little hard to press if you’re already shaky from stimulation, but maybe that’s a good thing when we consider that it has no travel lock. A button that requires a very intentional “pressing” to actuate is one that likely won’t accidentally turn on when jostled in a bag or suitcase during travel. During use, I had to pull the bullet away from my body to look at the buttons and kinda use my nail to press them. Hold the + to power on, – to go back one pattern or hold – down to power off.
By a few decibels, this is the loudest bullet of the three reviewed here, and it is STRONG. Still, in terms of noise level, this won’t be audible in another room when used under the covers or with a little bit of normal ambient background noise in the house.
I liked some of the lower vibe settings best, personally. The patterns are great! They start over again if you keep pressing + again after the 10th mode. I mention this because if you’re deep in the zone and keeping your finger in one spot, pressing as you need a change, this serves to keep you going without distraction. Having to pause and find the – button to walk back down the pattern cycle to a lower or different setting can be slightly annoying when you just wanna dreamily go about your business.
During use, the Blush bullet is a pretty good balance of rumbly vs buzzy. When pressed to the body, I absorb those vibes instead of my hand (hand numbness hasn’t been a problem as long as the bullet is in contact with my body). Still, the higher settings may make your hand tingly or numb depending on duration of use, so you can put it on a lower setting, or get creative with a prop or leg positioning to grind on or nestle it into a hands-free position while your hands rest!
#3: FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet
I feel good about supporting FemmeFunn’s mission of female empowerment, or “Femmepowerment,” as their website explains. Reading up on their brand a bit, it’s clear that FemmeFunn is focused on power, innovative design, quality materials and just plain fun toys! I like how their toys don’t skimp on the quality and coverage of silicone; a huge plus when considering a sex toy’s comfort, cleanliness, and waterproofness! A FemmeFunn toy comes in a few beautiful colors. Their signature colors seem to be shades of pink, teal, purple, and a few other toys come in a deeper green (see the Bougie Wand).
The box and inner packing for the Ultra Bullet is simple which is great because, again, I don’t want to feel like I paid extra for packaging that I’ll just toss anyway. Inside, we have the Ultra Bullet, some literature, and a USB charging cable. Note: Because the outer box material is on the thin side, mine was easily dented/ripped while unboxing.
The tip is rounded as opposed to the “lipstick” shape of the Blush Bullet or Tango X. The Ultra Bullet vibrator has a flexible joint about 2.5” from the tip, which means it feels like a smooth finger down there! If you’re stimulating your vulva, nestling the end of the bullet between the labia, you can gently bend the toy toward yourself to also stimulate the clit. The little knob on the “handle” end hits just right when you slide it back and forth a little. If you need more rigidity, brace your finger against the flexible arm on your body (I found myself doing this a little, and it hints at that “cupping” sensation, which is nice).
This bullet is totally covered in that smooth, supple silicone. The feel of this one is slightly softer and squishier than the Tango X or Blush bullet. It’s waterproof, too. The button at the end is super easy to use; just hold down to power on and press again to cycle through the patterns. Hold down again to power off. When you turn it off, it picks back up on the same vibe patterns next time you turn it on- pretty cool. No travel lock on this bullet.
I loved the thumping patterns on the Ultra Bullet, and I found it to be most rumbly overall. The Tango X has a few thumping or pulsing type patterns when turned on full intensity, but the flexible “arm” of the Ultra Bullet kicks a little more with those pulses, and it feels really fucking good. There are a whopping 20 patterns on the Ultra Bullet, 3 of which are the simple low/med/high vibration – so lots of extra variety!
I tried this in the shower, and the two “pulse” patterns brought me to my knees. I appreciate that all of the patterns have constant vibration to some degree (i.e. there aren’t any patterns that drop off/have moments of stillness). For a bit, I stopped thinking about the fact that I was using a device, and I like that kind of “carry me away” experience. While rumbly, your hand doesn’t really go numb if you mostly hold onto the bulbed end with the button.
The Ultra Bullet vibrator has a few features that make it distinct from the Blush and Tango X bullets, mainly the flexible shaft and rounded tip. If you haven’t checked out FemmeFunn’s other toys, you should. Their products are designed with beautiful, intuitive curves, textures and shapes that exemplify “for women, by women.” (See the Ultra Wand series for our best-selling FemmeFunn product.) By the way, their website features a nifty “Funn Finder” quiz, which suggests FemmeFunn toys based on your preferences. Something to check out! FemmeFunn recently released the Sormi Bullet, which I plan to review soon- stay tuned! 📺
