I’m a FemmeFunn fan girl; I love the quality of their toys (see my reviews of their Ultra Bullet and the Ultra Wand XL). I love their mission too; they’re focused on power, innovative design, and quality materials. That’s pretty much hitting all the essentials, imo. Their wands have also been popular for a while now! When I saw the shape of the Sormi, I knew I had to have it. Because of the ergonomic shape, I enjoy it even without the “flicking” feature turned on. Let’s get into it!
Unboxing & Inspection
FemmeFunn recently upgraded its packaging to hefty material; it’s thick and hard – hah! Lift the lid, and we have the new Sormi Bullet! The Sormi is a flicking “come hither” bullet with a body-shaped contour and slightly tapered finger-like tip. It’s got 2 raised silicone buttons on the handle end: the power/mode “FF” button and the smaller flicking button, with two downward pointing arrows. As with other FemmeFunn toys, the buttons are easy to locate and press.
The Sormi is totally silicone and also totally waterproof (keeping scrolling; the first time I used it was in the shower!). It’s got a little bit of flexibility in the joint just below the handle/buttons. The other joint or point of motion is the raised “knuckle” where the flicking action occurs.
The contour of the Sormi feels nice against my body, either with the tip positioned right on my clit, or moved down a little so that the inner curve of the toy is hugging the base of my pubic bone, with the tip of the Sormi stimulating the upper labia area. Thought went into the curvature of this toy! Plus, it’s a cute lil thing – the Sormi comes in 3 pretty signature FemmeFunn colors: Dark Purple, Turquoise, and Pink.
Literature
FemmeFunn products include a colorful corresponding user manual that covers all the useful basics.
Sormi Bullet Specs:
Material | Volume (dB) | Modes | Run Time (mins) | Dimensions (in) | Travel Lock | Warranty | Waterproof |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Silicone | 35-36 w/o flicking, 37 w/ flicking, 35-36 w/ flicking & placed under my comforter | 11 vibe modes, 11 flicking modes | ~60 | 4.8 (L) x 1 (W) | No | 1 Year | Yes |
The manual also covers how to clean the lil guy. Since it’s silicone, use only water-based lubricant, wash with a gentle soap and water, and let air dry. One of the benefits of a fully silicone toy is easy clean up!
The literature mentions “Fast Fill Technology,” which means that the Sormi charges particularly fast. You can get 15 minutes of use from less than 15 minutes of charge, and it’s 90% charged in 30 mins – perfect for impromptu self-care sessions. 😉 A full charge takes ~45 minutes.
(As I’ve learned with other toys though, battery life will decrease with time and use.)
Intro to Use
If you’re already managing an inserted toy, it can be nice to have an accompanying clit toy that doesn’t require a ton of extra focus to manipulate, especially while you’re trying to thrust the inserted toy. For me, the Sormi bullet accomplishes that. It massages external parts for you with that “come hither” finger tip movement. It’s fun to experiment moving the Sormi up and down the clit, changing the amount of pressure while the tip does its thing.
As mentioned in other reviews, I enjoy when toys make me kinda forget that I’m using a toy – I wanna get a little carried away, and the Sormi does this for me. There’s gotta be a psychological component to this; it’s a type of movement that you don’t expect from a bullet of this size. It feels like it has a will of its own. This makes it interesting to nestle in your sensitive spots and let it do what it does. 😉
You can experiment with its curvature and points of contact… more clitoral or maybe closer to the vulva area. Depending on its positioning, the Sormi’s shape can kind of “cup” you in a sense, which is an extra satisfying feeling from a little bullet. I enjoyed experimenting with this quite a bit even before turning on the flicker.
The Sormi has a nice array of 11 vibe modes and 11 flicking modes, so you can mix and match as needed. The flicking doesn’t automatically come back on if you power it off while still flicking. I don’t mind that though because I prefer to use the flick after I’ve played some with the regular modes first; it’s kind of a nice crescendo to a session.
The Sormi has a boost mode that lasts 10 seconds. Double click the button with arrows (the flicking button) to turn it on. It’s a pretty strong overall boost to both the current mode being used and a boost to the flicking motion. You don’t have to be flicking to activate the boost mode, but if you click to boost before flicking, the flicking will just turn on during boost mode and then turn off after 10 seconds. The flicking/boost button is easy to find without looking because it’s a little smaller than the button that changes modes.
Modes:
Vibration/Pattern | Flick Setting |
Low | Speed 1 |
Medium | Speed 2 |
High | Speed 3 |
Extra High | Speed 4 |
Medium Consistent Pulse | Slow Tap |
Short 3x Pulse/Vibe Pattern | Tap/Wiggle Alternating |
Quick Intermittent Pulse | Wiggle |
Slow Intermittent Pulse | Fast/Slow Alternating Wiggle |
3x Pulse/Rumble Pattern | Slow Wiggle/Tap |
Quick Pulse | Quick Rhythmic Wiggle |
2x Pulse/Rumble Pattern | Quick Wiggle/Slow Grind Alternating |
The motors slow minimally when I apply strong pressure to it, and because I know that it has a hinging mechanism for the “flicking,” I avoid stressing that joint too much. I’ve braced my finger firmly on the very end of the tip and right on the hinge itself and succeeded in getting more pressure while still feeling the massage from the tip (and without breaking it, hah!). I think this is a good toy for someone who enjoys light to medium pressure and firmer pressure only in spurts. It didn’t heat up noticeably, even during my extended sessions of inspection and *experimentation.*
I really enjoy using the Sormi with the nJoy Pure Wand. The first time I used them together was in the shower. I orgasmed in less than a minute, just pressing the large end of the Pure Wand into my G-spot and teasing myself with the Sormi on the quick pulse mode as I moved through the flicking settings (spent the most time on speeds 3 & 4 as well as the consistent “wiggle” setting). I was pleased that I couldn’t even hear the Sormi over the sound of the shower. No doubt that I’ll enjoy that combo again: *Pure Wand + Sormi + shower.*
Final Thoughts
The come-hither motion makes the Sormi less labor intensive than a traditional bullet if you like a little extra dimension to your clit stimulation. I really enjoy pairing the Sormi with something that has a helpful G-spot curve like the Pure Wand. Such a pairing reduces the manual work on my part, helping me focus less on what I’m doing and more on how I’m feeling. Work smarter, not harder – right?
