Unboxing & Inspection
As a FemmeFunn toy, pretty much everything about the unboxing experience feels premium: the packaging, the manual, and the toy itself. The Bougie Wand comes in a sturdy little box, which also includes it magnetic charging cable. The wand itself feels heavier than the typical mini wand; it weighs about 5.5 oz.
Bougie Wand is made with anodized aluminum, so it’s pretty responsive to temperature changes. Warm it up, let it stay at a cool room temp, or experiment with more varied temperature play for some extra stimulation or invigoration. Generally, just holding it against your skin for a few seconds warms it up close to body temp.
The handle and head of the Bougie Wand are aluminum, and the connecting neck is silicone. This wand is described as having a flexible head, but it really doesn’t flex THAT much, which I take as a bigger selling point.
It’s got two buttons: power and boost mode. Hold down the power button for 2 seconds to power on and proceed through its patterns by clicking the power button. The boost mode button is a shortcut to the highest vibration speed. Tap it for a boost to this high setting during any other mode, and then tap it again to return to the mode you were on previously.
It came with a charge, but once you need to juice up again, you’ll use the magnetic charging cable to for 2 hours, which gives ~1 hour of run time at the wand’s highest setting.

My Experience Using the Bougie Wand
When putting the Bougie Wand to work, my first impressions were “whoa, stronger than I expected.” I described the head flexibility earlier (it’s really more firm than flexible, IMO). This, combined with its remarkably powerful vibes, delivers some strong stimulation. And since the head itself is aluminum versus a fleshy or soft silicone, it has a firm point of contact, regardless of the setting it’s on. This is definitely a wand that I’d recommend for someone who usually wants more intensity. The wand is designed to transmit minimal vibrations (or resulting numbness) to your hand.
My favorite settings are the lowest continual vibe (most rumbly setting) and patterns #1 and #2, which are quick and simple pulse patterns with no pauses in between. I’d characterize the vibes as more buzzy than rumbly – with the exception of the lowest vibration speed, which does actually feel rumbly. If you want a wand that’s rumblier overall + a head that isn’t too flexible, check out the Lovense Domi 2.
The aluminum head feels good on my nipples when it’s cool to the touch, but I like to warm it up for a few seconds with my hand or dipped in warm water if I want to use it on my clit. I keep our house pretty cool, so that means surfaces are usually chillin’ around 72 degrees F.
Final Thoughts
The Bougie Wand tends to feel more buzzy than rumbly with the exception of its lowest setting. It also has a small range of head flexibility (a pro in my opinion) and is totally waterproof! Its aluminum head and handle lend well to temp play and generally give a pretty firm point of contact versus wands with silicone heads, like other popular FemmeFunn Ultra Wands, Magic Wands or Lovense Domi 2.
