A Year in Review: Our Favorite Sex Toys (2024)

This time of year, “top picks” and “best of” articles abound… but which sex toys are really good? We’ve wrapped up this year’s trends and sales data into an overview of what our customers have loved… plus a sprinkling of personal experience! Here are HappyBed’s tried-and-true favorite sex toys of the year, some new and some oldies-but-goodies!

Favorites Under $50

Neo Elite Dildos: This is our best-selling line of dildos. Economical, body-safe, vibrant dildos – some even glow in the dark- ooo! These are dual density silicone, so they are soft and supple on the outside but have a realistic firmness to them due to a firmer silicone core.

FemmeFunn Ultra Bullet: The Ultra Bullet is a powerful little vibrator and one of our all-time favorites. It’s fully silicone, and it’s totally waterproof. We love how rumbly it is for a bullet, and since it has a memory function, you can pick up where you left off! Major bang for your buck here. b-Vibe Snug Plug: This is a modest sized, weighted plug made with silicone, so it’s body-safe and easy to clean. b-Vibe makes a nice vibrating plug too, but this non-vibrating option is a good starting point if you’re not sure about vibrating plugs yet. Wear it during play or all day!

For the Clit

We-Vibe Touch X: An adaptable mini clitoral vibe sculpted into a shape that fits many contours! The Touch X is great for clit simulation but can be used to caress the nipples or other erogenous zones too. We love its versatility. It’s also very quiet and fully waterproof!

We-Vibe Melt: God, I love the Melt. Its soft mouth encircles the clit comfortably, and the range of 12 vibe options is pretty heavenly. Plus, you can control it with We-Vibe’s We-Connect app and create custom vibration patterns. It’s also got a 2-year warranty, but we haven’t had to help any customers with a warranty claim yet, so our experience is that the Melt has decent longevity.

Lovense Domi 2: More compact, yet slightly rumblier than the iconic Magic Wands, we LOVE the Domi 2. (I wrote about it here.) My favorite aspect of it (and Lovense products, generally), are the endless options available on the Lovense Remote and VibeMate apps. You can sync your toy to the VibeMate app and vibe away to p*rn or connect to another Lovense toy on the Lovense Remote app and “feel” each other with the toys’ synced vibrations. It’s a cool way to connect to your partner, no matter where they are (or allow an anonymous stranger to control your toy on the Lovense app if you’re adventurous like that!).

Lovense Ferri: There are a tons of panty vibes on the market, but we like those that are well-supported (1-year warranty) and have extra app options. The Ferri is secured to your panties with a magnet, and you may need to press or squeeze it closer to your body, depending on how firm you like your clit stimulation. It’s so discreet and app-controlled; it makes for a really fun toy to use out and about or remotely with a partner (or stranger) through the Lovense Remote app.

Penis Strokers

Firefly Yoni: Here’s a visually suggestive reuseable stroker in a fun color! Super affordable and body-safe; we sell a lot of Firefly Yonis. If you like the $30-$40 price point but want something less anatomical-looking, check out the Tenga Spinners or Flex strokers.

Tenga Puffy series: Looking for an affordable reuseable stroker that isn’t visually suggestive? On the outside, the Tenga Puffy series are innocuous, pastel-colored canisters with 5 different internal textures to choose from on the insides. Vibrators

Lovense Nora: Can you tell we love Lovense? 🙂 The Nora is a rabbit vibrator, but its head actually rotates while the clitoral arm vibrates, so you get the best of both worlds, especially with that deep g-spot stimulation. It’s a piece that may require some patience and gentle movements because of its firmness, but once you find your way to the spot needed, it feels incredible for many people.

Aneros Helix Syn V: The Helix Syn V is a slightly larger version of the Aneros Helix that produces more focused stimulation than the Helix Trident or the Helix Syn Trident.  Although it’s an electronic product, it can be used equally well without vibrating.  Its slightly tapered head offers some focused pressure on the prostate. Tentacle Toys: Aside from their fantastical appearance, tentacle dildos have a few things going for them, like a tapered girth (for training or teasing) and exciting textures. There are beautifully crafted pieces like Uberrime’s Teuthida, or ones with a suction cup base that vibrate, like the Selopa “Stuck on You.”

Versatile Play & Gender-Affirming Toys

Vixen Creations Dildos: Vixen Creations is a small workshop based in Austin, Texas. They produce high-quality platinum-cured silicone dildos and accessories in small batches.
