Unboxing
You’ll probably take pleasure in simply unboxing the Namii, as the packaging is absolutely gorgeous. The sturdy little blue box has a magnetic closure that opens up onto a beautiful illustrative display of the Namii’s features and possible applications.
The Namii comes with its charger/display stand, USB-C charging cable, a pretty little drawstring storage bag, and a cute sticker. Simple instructions are printed on the inside flap of the main box.
The Namii’s transparent display stand doubles as its charger, and it has a light ring that pulses when charging. It can also illuminate your nightstand as a little light or can optionally be turned off.
Upon first handling it, the Namii feels luxuriously smooth and has a little give to its silicone coating; a layer of ever so slightly squishy material just under the silicone surface. My first thought: this feels like something I want to continue holding and touching. Its vulva stimulation area has gently raised ridges. The two buttons on the underside are shaped like mini Namiis, and they appear to also function as the charging contacts.
My Experience Using the biird Namii
I popped this bad boy outta the box and set to work right away… BUT it wasn’t charged. Being the impatient person that I am, I tried the Namii a few times before it fully charged, and the vibes went from weak to progressively stronger (surprise, surprise). After letting it ACTUALLY charge for the full 2 hours, it ran at full strength. The moral of this story? Let the thing fully charge, hah.
The clitoral suction mouth is somewhat small; about .5″ wide. I hate to state the obvious, but make sure you actually get the mouth positioned correctly on your clit. In my experience, this took some adjustment. Plus, this is an area of the body that can have varying sensitivity from person to person or depending on hormonal changes. Once I was set, the #3 suction intensity was about as much as I could take. #4 and #5 felt extremely intense! Again, this will vary from one person to the next. The Namii doesn’t falter or become less intense when pressed on; it’s a resilient little toy and can take pretty firm pressure or grinding.
As I’ve mentioned in other reviews, I have a shorter vulva to clit distance, so the vulva vibe area rests toward the back of my vulva just in front of my perineum. The gentle wavy texture on the vulva stimulation area comes into contact with my body in the same way my partner’s balls touch my skin when we have piv sex. It’s a different feeling that I was super interested to experiment with. I like this type of erogenous touch; it feels like it’s cupping me with well blended sensations, especially since the clitoral suction is basically flush with the surface of the Namii vs raised.
The shape of the toys is pretty intuitive; your hand cups the toys as it cups your body, and you can easily increase the vibe settings from this position. The button the near the front controls the clit suction, and the back button controls the vulva vibes. I like laying on my belly and using the weight of my body to really grind and push into the toy.
My favorite combination of settings is a #3 suction intensity with the low purring vibe pattern. With this combo, the vulva vibes don’t overpower the clit suction, and it ends up feeling like a gentle vibration to your vulva and labia area with more pronounced clitoral stimulation on the vibe pattern’s decrescendo. Just my take on it!
Final Thoughts
The biird Namii looks and feels absolutely luxurious. It’s quiet; not even really audible if used under your bed covers. The suction isn’t as strong as toys like the We-Vibe Melt or Viben Zen Rose, but for some people, intense clit suction toys are genuinely too much, even at their lowest settings. That’s when the Namii can help. It feels great to lay on, using the weight of your body to grind on the toy for greater pressure and intensity.
